Rebecca has been around Insurance before she was born in 1984. Her parents, Mike and Margarita, met while working at Safeco Insurance Company in Redmond, Washington in 1983. The Insurance Business has always played a large role in her life.

Rebecca began working for the family business, part time in 2000, while finishing up her high school education at Eastlake High School in Sammamish, Washington. In 2002 she applied and was accepted to the Business School at the University of Washington. While attending college she worked on and off at Insurance Services of Washington and became a licensed agent. After graduating on the Dean’s List in 2006, with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Spanish, she began looking for a career other than insurance, but the family business kept pulling her back.

In 2007 she began working full time for Insurance Services of Washington as an Agent and Personal Lines Account Manager moving into supervising the Commercial and Business accounts. She is now managing the agency full time and working towards taking over Insurance Services of Washington within the next year.

Debra was born and raised on the Sammamish Plateau. While growing up she was actively involved in her local community through girl scouts, participation in local sports teams, charity events, volunteering and youth group programs such as Young Life. She continues to be actively involved in Young Life as a Youth Leader.

Debra graduated from Eastlake High School in 2005. During High School Debra held part-time jobs that involved Customer Service and Inside Sales. After High School graduation Debra decided to forgo college and enter the working world full-time. She has held several jobs that required attention to detail, organizational skills and time management. She has been an Office Manager for a local Landscape Company, Receptionist for a Regional Mortgage Brokerage Firm, full-time Nanny to two local families and part-time providing Marketing Services for Insurance Services of Washington, Inc. Debra truly understands and believes “if the job is worth doing, it is worth doing well”.

In 2011 Debra decided to pursue a full-time career with Insurance Services of Washington. She currently is providing Marketing and Customer Service for the agency.

Dina has been involved in insurance her entire life. He father, Gordon Smith, first started his career in the Insurance Business in 1959 and opened his own Independent Insurance Agency in 1964 – Alpine Insurance Agency.

Dina graduated from Edmonds High School and attended Shoreline Community College, graduating with a degree in Business Management. Prior to coming to work in the family business Dina worked for Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska specializing, in Managed Health Care Contracts.

Dina had been with her father’s agency since 1996 and while at Alpine Insurance her main focus was as a Personal Lines Account Manager. Dina came on full time with Insurance Services of Washington in 2013 and has become a truly valuable asset to the ISWASH team. Dina strives to get to know her clients and make sure she’s meeting each individual insurance need.

Shealin Shepard was born in California and lived in many states before settling down in Kentucky after graduating Highschool in 2012.

Shealin spent over five years as a supervisor in retail but in 2016 decided to further her customer service expertise and try something completely different; she entered the world of risk management, finding a love for the insurance industry.

Acting as the personal lines claim’s specialist at her previous agency, she enjoyed being able to counsel clients through difficult times and situations.

Daniela was born and raised in California for half her life. The other half thus far, she grew up in beautiful British Columbia. She studied and practiced both Personal and Commercial Lines insurance in Canada. She is both excited and passionate about helping clients with their insurance needs. Her transition from Canadian insurance to American insurance has been fairly easy.

Starting a new adventure and meeting new clients south of her natural border is something she is excited about.

In her free time Daniela likes painting pottery and connecting with new friends.

Erin was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from South Kitsap High School, she attended Western Washington University and obtained an Associate Arts Degree from Seattle Central Community College. She then took time off to raise her family and has resided in Puyallup since 1999.

By 2005, she completed a paralegal program and also became a Licensed Property and Casualty, Life and Health Agent. She has been affiliated as a licensed agent and producer with Alpine Insurance for five years and most recently with Insurance Services of Washington, Inc.

While specializing in all aspects of the Insurance Industry her main focus lays with Life and Health Insurance. Working with Medicare beneficiaries has been and continues to be a passion of Erin’s and she thoroughly enjoys working with and assisting the “our older generation”. She provides in-home appointments and community meetings throughout the Puget Sound Region.

Erin loves to see what a difference one person can make when reviewing and analyzing the needs of prospects and clients. She sees this as a chance to get to know the person on a personal level and let them know they are not and will never be treated.

After graduating from Washington State University and Eastern Washington University, Mike entered the Residential Real Estate Business in Spokane, Washington in 1975. In 1980 he relocated to Seattle, Washington and began his Insurance Career with Safeco Insurance Company in the Claims Department becoming the first “Claims Specialist” to be designated by the company. In 1988 he left Safeco Insurance Company to re-establish his Professional Sales Career as an Account Executive with a local Independent Insurance Agency. In 1992 Mike and Margarita opened their own start-up Independent Agency.

Mike is very proud of the consistency and stability he has had in his life as evidenced by the fact he has been married to Margarita for 28 years, lived in the same house, they built, for 26 years and they have been in business together for 20 years. Mike has also held the Certified Insurance Counselor designation for 25 years. This consistency, stability and insurance experience provides Mike with the necessary tools to make informed and sound analysis of available Insurance Products and insure his clients are fully informed on the Insurance Products that he recommends.

The staff at Insurance Services of Washington consistently receives “Superior Customer Service” awards and recognition as result of their training and experience. Mike firmly believes “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” and as result has built meaning and lasting
